On Tuesday, October 1, Rascal Flatts tour, the beloved country trio consisting of lead vocalist Gary LeVox, lead guitarist Joe Don Rooney, and bassist Jay DeMarcus, announced their upcoming nationwide tour in celebration of their 25th anniversary, following a hiatus.
In a press release, the band reflected on their journey, stating, “In 2020, we announced the farewell tour after two decades on the road. We needed a break, and then COVID-19 hit, halting our plans just like it did for everyone else. Since then, we’ve had the chance to reflect on our unique experiences as a band and are excited to hit the road again.”
They continued, “It’s hard to believe that next year marks the 25th anniversary of Rascal Flatts, making it the perfect time to reconnect with the fans who have supported us through it all.”
This sentiment was echoed in an Instagram post where they shared a tour poster and wrote, “It’s hard to believe that 2025 will be our 25th anniversary… and we’re thrilled to get back in front of all of YOU who have given us so much! Tickets for the Life Is A Highway Tour, featuring @LaurenAlaina and @iamchrislane, go on sale this Friday, October 4, at 10 AM local time!”
The Life Is A Highway Tour, produced by Live Nation, will celebrate the band’s hits across 21 stops in the U.S. The tour kicks off on February 13, 2025, in Evansville, Indiana, and will make stops in cities such as Grand Rapids, Michigan; Columbus, Ohio; Allentown, Pennsylvania; and Orlando, Florida, before concluding in Jacksonville, Florida, on April 5, 2025.
Fans can expect to hear beloved tracks like “Bless the Broken Road,” “My Wish,” and “What Hurts the Most.” Supporting acts Lauren Alaina and Chris Lane will join Rascal Flatts tour.
Tickets go on sale Friday, October 4, at 10 AM local time and will be available for purchase through various outlets.
Since 2020, Rascal Flatts has been on hiatus. Their plans for a farewell tour in recognition of their 20th anniversary were interrupted by the pandemic. Recently, DeMarcus hinted at the possibility of a reunion, saying, “I would want to say never say never. However, we are in such different places now and don’t communicate consistently. There are many steps to take before we even talk about getting back together. It’s not too late; I just think the longer we wait, the harder it will be to reunite.”
